SATTA General Assembly 2026

On 21 April 2026, SATTA held its Annual General Assembly at Restaurant Sternen in Wangen-Brüttisellen. Members gathered to review the past year, discuss future activities, and set the course for the continued development of the association.

A Year Marked by Engagement and International Presence

During his annual review, SATTA President Matthias Berner highlighted several important activities and achievements from the past year. Particular attention was given to the ongoing dialogue between the SATTA Executive Board and Skyguide management, where key topics concerning the future of the technical domain and upcoming organisational changes were discussed.

One of the major highlights of 2025 was undoubtedly the IFATSEA European Regional Meeting (ERM), hosted in Zurich. Organised by Roger Suter and supported by many dedicated volunteers, the event was widely regarded as one of the most significant milestones in SATTA’s recent history and received excellent feedback from international participants.

Further activities included SATTA’s participation in the IFATSEA General Assembly in Cape Town, the technical visit to Zurich Airport’s baggage sorting facility, and attendance at several professional conferences and industry events.

Strong Financial Position

The General Assembly approved the annual accounts and auditor’s report unanimously. SATTA closed the financial year with a positive result, supported by the successful organisation of the IFATSEA ERM and careful financial management.

The membership fees remain unchanged:

  • Active members: CHF 120
  • Passive members: CHF 30

SATTA continues to maintain a solid financial foundation, enabling the association to support both national and international activities.

Executive Board Re-Elected

Members unanimously elected Matthias Berner as President of SATTA and confirmed all Executive Board members in their respective roles. The General Assembly also re-elected the financial auditors.

The Executive Board would like to thank all members for their continued trust, support, and active participation in the association.

Looking Ahead

Several exciting activities are already planned for 2026. These include participation in the IFATSEA European Regional Meeting in Sarajevo, the annual SATTA excursion in September, and the 54th IFATSEA General Assembly in Nairobi.

The General Assembly also underlined the importance of attracting new members and strengthening professional networking opportunities within the technical aviation community. To support membership growth, SATTA will continue its recruitment efforts and encourages all members to actively promote the association among colleagues.

The Executive Board thanks all members who attended the General Assembly and looks forward to another successful year of collaboration, professional exchange, and international engagement.
